Marina LENAU
Violinist
A Ukrainian-born American violinist, Marina began performing internationally as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician at an early age. As a result of her exciting musical journey spanning two continents, Marina has appeared in numerous solo concerts and chamber recitals in the former Soviet Union, Europe, Latin America, and United States, and has performed as a soloist with Kyiv Youth Symphony, South Florida Philharmonic, Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Lagrange Symphony and Redlands Symphony.
Her awards today include top prizes from the international competitions in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and USA. In her continuous strife for musical knowledge, Marina has studied as part of master classes and seminars with such contemporary classical music stars as Ida Haendel, Arnold Steinhardt of Guarneri String Quartet, Midori Goto, Paul Katz of the Cleveland Quartet, Elmar Oliveira, Cyrus Forough, Mark Kaplan, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Orlando Cole of the Curtis String Quartet.
Marina is proud to be on the alumni list of the prestigious Music Academy of the West music festival. Concluding her academic achievements with high honors, Marina holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, where she has studied with the concertmaster emeritus of the New York Philharmonic, Glenn Dicterow.
