AstSpace 349 Govorov Khomyakov WEBSITE.png

We are thrilled to present the extraordinary Russian saxophonist and Yamaha Artist Sergei Govorov in collaboration with Vladimir Khomyakov on the piano. Although the saxophone is commonly associated with jazz, its versatility extends far beyond. In Europe, the saxophone has deep connections to classical music, leading to the emergence of a remarkable repertoire in the 20th century and its continued popularity in the 21st century. The saxophone's expansive timbral and technical capabilities make it perfectly suited for performing music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. The program highlights the classical side of the saxophone, featuring a diverse mix of composers including Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla, George Gershwin, and more, promising an unforgettable experience for all music lovers in the ambience of artworks by Ruth GONZALES.
